About Us
About Dr. Beth Hart
I don’t just talk about Egyptian history; I help dig it up. With a Ph.D. in Anthropological Archaeology I have spent two decades exploring the socio-political structures and ancient technologies of Ancient Egypt. My work has taken me to over 15 archaeological projects in Egypt and counting— sites such as Giza, Abydos, and the Valley of the Kings, along with less well known places like Helwan, Hierakonpolis, Wadi el-Sheikh, and Elkab.
The "Hart" of the Journey
For years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my knowledge about Egypt through teaching, museum work, scholarly publications, and talks for the general public and specialists alike. After years of working in Egypt, I know nothing drives home the magnificence of ancient Egypt, and the buoyant joys of modern Egypt, like experiencing it for yourself.
I founded Egypt with Hart to help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and everyday understanding via experiential travel, making the wonders of Egypt more tangible, and the challenges of getting there more feasible. I believe the best way to see a temple isn’t just to look at the stone, but to understand the people who carved it. Whether we are deciphering 4,000-year-old hieroglyphs or navigating the vibrant culture of modern-day Cairo, my goal is to give you a perspective on Egypt that you won’t find in any guidebook.
Expertise You Can Trust
Before launching my own tours, alongside my archaeological work, I spent over five years as a business consultant in Washington, D.C., managing multi-million dollar projects and leading complex digital transformations. This unique blend of academic depth and logistical precision means your trip isn’t just intellectually stimulating—it’s seamlessly executed.
My heart is never far from the Nile. I can’t wait to show you the Egypt I know.
“Beth navigated our complex group plans seamlessly, using her Arabic language skills to ensure access to hidden, lesser known sites, and keep us together... truly once in a lifetime trip”
